Professor Ururahy Rodrigues Junior

Lead instructor/Owner

Professor Ururahy is a third-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiujitsu, with life-long experience in martial arts. He has trained in Judo, capoeira, Brazilian jiu jitsu and is retired from a career in MMA. Hailing originally from Brasilia, Brazil, he has taught thousands of students of all ages and abilities the art of BJJ and self-defense throughout his extensive career. His world-class instruction involves teaching “things that make sense” in order to make the sport adaptable to anyone.

He has a passion for the “jiu jitsu lifestyle” which involves more than just a martial art. He is passionate about overall health, fitness, and wellness which includes diet, exercise, yoga and meditation.

He also enjoys many different physical activities including long boarding, roller blading, weight lifting, riding his motorcycles and spending time with his dogs at the park.

Oscar Delgado

Assistant Coach/Instructor

Coach Oscar is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He started his jiu jitsu journey in 2017 at the age of 19 and joined Professor Ururahy in 2021. He is the lead coach for tiny kids at URJ Training Center as well as the assistant coach for our advanced kids and adults.

He is a life-long Yakima resident and our in-house super hero and comic book expert. He is passionate about spreading the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu throughout our valley.

Ari Zuckerman

Assistant Coach/Instructor

Ari is a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and joined URJ Training Center in August of 2023. Originally from Canada, he is now a fully-integrated part of our local community.

He is very passionate about the sport of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is always looking for mat time with anyone who will join him. When he’s not training, he can be found teaching adult fundamentals (and maybe a heel hook or two), being super Dad to his two future jiujiteiras Marlowe and Rowan or working. He will greet you with a smile and welcome you with open arms to the URJ Family and would love to have you in his class.
